Tribal Petals

Handmade in the eastern mountainous region of India, by the Himalayas, this necklace is made out of dried tree resins. The resins are given a petal-like shape and then carved with stripes. They are later filled with white pigment.

The artisans that work on this necklace are women from the Niyishi tribe. They have escaped child marriage and are able to become financially independent thanks to fair trade. We have helped them reach international markets and thus promoted sustainable development in their lives.
