SETU endeavours to ensure sustainable well being for both the `people’ and the `planet’. SETU works on improving our processes and minimizing our environmental impact. Most of the products offered by SETU are sustainable & green, as they are made from natural, renewable & eco-friendly & raw materials. These include natural fibres such as cotton, jute, wool, silk, banana fibre, hogla & other grass leaves. Other natural raw materials are wood from dead trees, lead & nickel free metals, stones, etc. The dyes used are natural where possible. To obtain a more versatile colour range, non-toxic, azo-free dyes are also used.
SETU specially promotes use of recycled raw materials and creates designs specifically for recycled products, which are functional as well as contemporary. The following products are made from recycled raw material.
